Somatotropin (human growth hormone, HGH) is a recombinant 191-amino-acid polypeptide produced via E. coliexpression. The encoded DNA sequence corresponds to human GH1 (UniProt P01241), residues Phe27–Phe217, yielding a protein identical in sequence to endogenous pituitary-derived hGH. Somatotropin is used to increase HGH Levels in the Human Body.
Somatotropin interacts with the human growth hormone receptor (GHR), initiating JAK2-STAT, MAPK, and PI3K-linked signaling cascades.
These pathways have been studied in the context of:
Protein and nucleic-acid synthesis in somatic cell cultures
Metabolic modulation of lipid and carbohydrate turnover
Proliferative and regenerative signaling across epithelial and myogenic models
The recombinant form enables consistent receptor engagement without the variability of pituitary isolates, making it suitable for reproducible in-vitro analysis.
Formuly Labs provides Somatotropin as a lyophilized recombinant peptide verified by HPLC and MALDI-MS. Each batch is analyzed for purity, sequence integrity, and bio-identity relative to the GH1 reference standard. Full analytical documentation and COA accompany every lot.
For laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use.
